Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fotos Hasapis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Uwot Meight!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasapis throws a body punch but Meight moves out of range.
Hasapis throws a head kick but Meight moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Meight blocks the low kick.
Meight doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

A little jabbing left from Meight on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hasapis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Meight tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hasapis is in Meight's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Meight can do anything to dispel that myth.

Meight gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hasapis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meight doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hasapis is tightening it up a little... Meight has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Meight reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Meight taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hasapis!
