Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Louis (ranked 4536 p4p, 3443 weight class) and Noah Gordon (ranked 442 p4p, 371 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Louis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Noah Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gordon on the side of the head.
Louis misses with a left hand
and Gordon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gordon closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Louis throws an overhand right that lands on Gordon's shoulder, as Gordon tries to avoid the shot.

Gordon is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Gordon has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Louis finds it's way round the side to connect with Gordon's head.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gordon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

It looked like Louis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Gordon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Louis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
