The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawiwasulu's hands are dropping dangerously low here and English connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kawiwasulu scrambles back to his feet.
Kawiwasulu wants to clinch up but English keeps it at a distance.
As Kawiwasulu tries to get set, English tries to push him back and clinch up but Kawiwasulu manages to avoid the attempt.

English fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kawiwasulu, pushing him back against the cage.
English has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kawiwasulu is looking for a takedown up against the cage. English gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
English tries to throw a body punch but Kawiwasulu avoids it by throwing English back against the cage.
