Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergeant Dick (ranked 414 p4p, 1570 weight class) and Lamar Karter (ranked 55 p4p, 193 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lamar Karter!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karter lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dick turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A big right from Dick misses.
Dick misses with a hook.
Some wild striking there from Dick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Dick throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dick throws a leg kick
and Karter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Karter misses with a hook. Dick ducked under it nicely.
Dick appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Dick throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Karter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dick tries to clinch there but Karter circles away.
Karter motions for Dick to come forward. Karter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A slapping leg kick lands for Karter.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Karter - that will leave a mark!

It looks like Sergeant Dick has been cut.
Dick looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Karter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dick misses with a low kick.

Karter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dick sprawling to the canvas! Dick rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Karter finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dick misses with a double jab
and Karter counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dick is breathing heavily.
Dick sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Karter drops Dick with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dick looks back up at him and smiles so Karter waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Dick is rocked!

Sergeant Dick's cut is getting worse.

A solid leg kick lands there for Karter.
Dick fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dick swings widly with a right hand
and Karter counters with a crisp right that sends Dick to the canvas! Karter follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
