PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Pharoah The First Chai (ranked 23819 p4p, 21564 weight class) and Piger Whok (ranked 380 p4p, 364 weight class). Whok has chosen King of Kings - Motorhead as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Piger Whok was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chai lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Whok has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Whok and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Chai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Whok throws a front kick that sends Chai stumbling back into the ropes.
Whok moves in looking to clinch but Chai pushes him off.
Whok motions for Chai to come forward. Whok throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chai tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
As Chai backs off Whok throws a huge counter combo but Chai manages to avoid it all.
Chai bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Whok fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chai checks it well.

Piger Whok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chai comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Chai lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chai.
Whok throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Chai blocks it with crossed arms.

Chai escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

As Whok backs away, Chai returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Whok fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Whok tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Chai paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Chai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Whok.
Whok lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chai circles away quickly and effectively.
Chai is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Whok using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Chai has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Whok pushes off an throws an elbow but Chai leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Chai is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Whok can do to turn this around?

Whok walks into a big right hand from Chai and goes down! The referee sends Chai to a neutral corner as Whok gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Whok glances at the clock... BAM! Chai nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Whok crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Whok is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
