PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pollos Hermanos (ranked 1205 p4p, 1921 weight class) and Binsar Siregar (ranked 131 p4p, 194 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pollos Hermanos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Binsar Siregar!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Siregar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hermanos on his heels. He'll look to pass Hermanos's guard now, I'm sure.
Hermanos seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

As Siregar looks to move away, Hermanos throws a big counter combo but Siregar just gets out of the way.

Siregar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Hermanos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hermanos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Siregar sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Siregar wants a takedown.
Pollos Hermanos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Binsar Siregar.
Hermanos tries a body shot but Siregar blocks it.

The referee is keeping an eye on Hermanos - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Siregar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Siregar is taking a breather. Hermanos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Hermanos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Siregar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hermanos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Siregar manages to get himself to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pollos Hermanos.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hermanos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
