The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strickland fails with the takedown
and Karter counters with a nice body shot.
Karter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Strickland on the side of the head.

Strickland moves into the clinch.
Karter tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Karter scores with a shot to the side of Strickland's head.
Karter stops a takedown attempt from Strickland.

Karter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Strickland tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Karter counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Tucker Strickland has been cut.
Strickland doesn't manage to clinch there - Karter circles away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Strickland has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Karter lands a big head kick that sends Strickland tumbling to the mat! Karter takes a step backwards and waves Strickland back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Strickland tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Karter counters with a crisp right that sends Strickland to the canvas! Karter follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
