Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deshawn Mcknight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Makhachev!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcknight shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Makhachev's guard.
Makhachev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Makhachev is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcknight trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Makhachev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcknight doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcknight manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcknight knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Makhachev on the ground.

Mcknight lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Makhachev quite badly. Makhachev pulls Mcknight in close trying to recover. Mcknight postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Makhachev on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Makhachev doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deshawn Mcknight!
A very excited looking Deshawn Mcknight rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
