Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 55 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hannes Klepper!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitok misses with a takedown attempt - Klepper sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Klepper is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Klepper loads up on a big right hand but Bitok slips the punch.
As Klepper looks to move away, Bitok throws a big counter combo but Klepper just gets out of the way.
Klepper misses with a hook. Bitok ducked under it nicely.
Klepper clinches up against the cage.
Klepper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bitok is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bitok drops down looking for an ankle pick but Klepper pulls his leg out and moves away.
Klepper misses with a hook. Bitok ducked under it nicely.
Bitok throws a quick counter kick to the body but Klepper avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klepper misses with a hook.
Klepper looks to land a combination but Bitok avoids it well.
Klepper throws a jab when Bitok was well out of range.
Bitok jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Klepper misses with a body shot
and Bitok counters with a good, hard body kick but Klepper shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Klepper throws a body punch but Bitok moves out of range.
It looked like Bitok was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Klepper.
Klepper misses with a left hand
and Bitok counters with a solid body kick.
Klepper instigates a clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Klepper has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bitok has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Klepper avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kulata Bitok. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Klepper lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Klepper takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Klepper is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Klepper is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bitok is trying to get back to full guard.
Klepper in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bitok tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Klepper!
