The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punch shoots in for a takedown but Tree shows good takedown defense.
Punch shoots in but no luck this time.
Punch tries to clinch but Tree moves out of range.
Tree misses with a series of wild punches.
Punch throws a head kick that misses.
Punch lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tree's sensitive parts.
Punch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Punch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tree's waist but Tree gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Punch off to one side.

and Tree counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tree lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Punch circles away quickly and effectively.

Tree swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Punch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Punch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tree paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tree looks to land a combination but Punch avoids it well.
Tree throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Tree counters with a one-two to the body.
Tree paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Ray Punch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tree lands with a big left! Punch is wobbled badly! Tree comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Punch to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
