The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ramirez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Douglas is fending him off so far but Ramirez persists. Nope, Douglas circles away and we're back to standing.
Douglas throws out a counter right but Ramirez avoids it with no problem.
Douglas lands a jab to the nose.
Ramirez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ramirez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Douglas has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ramirez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Douglas sprawls well. Douglas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ramirez gets slowly back to his feet.
Douglas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ramirez.
Douglas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Douglas throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ramirez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Douglas punishes Ramirez's body with a nice straight punch.
Ramirez ducks right into an uppercut from Douglas.

Douglas fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Ramirez is rocked!
Ramirez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Oh Ramirez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Douglas steps in with a hook that catches Ramirez right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Douglas follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Ramirez looks absolutely devastated.
