Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colonel Chi (ranked 2347 p4p, 3136 weight class) and Martin Bhullar (ranked 270 p4p, 359 weight class). Martin Bhullar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Martin Bhullar!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Chi. Bhullar does a little dance to reset his feet.

Chi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chi wants it to stay on the feet.

Bhullar shoots in looking for a takedown. Chi tries to sprawl out of it but Bhullar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bhullar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bhullar has time to react.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chi here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Chi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bhullar. Bhullar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bhullar has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chi finds it's way round the side to connect with Bhullar's head.
