Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Wille Thai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Bispen!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thai slips under a jab.
Bispen throws an overhand right that lands on Thai's shoulder, as Thai tries to avoid the shot.
Bispen misses with a straight right.
Thai changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Thai fails with a takedown attempt.
Bispen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thai circles away quickly and effectively.
Thai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Thai bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thai is trying to get an arm triangle but Bispen is defending well.

Thai looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bispen is trying to buck Thai off.

Thai tries for a kimura but Bispen is defending well.

Bispen sneaks out the side door and pushes Thai away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
A telegraphed right hand from Bispen misses the target.
Bispen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thai was well out of range. Poor timing from Bispen.
Thai shoots for a takedown but Bispen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bispen lands a jab.
Bispen missing with a left hand there. Thai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Thai changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Bispen throws an off balance right hand

and Thai counters with a shoot takedown. Bispen fights it but they end up in guard.
Bispen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thai trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bispen looking for a sweep. Not yet Bispen, not yet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bispen looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thai slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Thai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bispen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Thai tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Thai is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bispen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bispen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Thai asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Thai has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Thai has control of Bispen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bispen regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Thai will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Thai swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bispen is now in Thai's guard. A big mistake from Thai there, giving up the dominant position!
Bispen stays in close to Thai's body and controls the position.

Thai is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bispen defends well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bispen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bispen wants to control from the top but Thai keeps moving.

Thai pushes a forearm under Bispen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bispen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wille Thai!
