Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nikita Rabov (ranked 5066 p4p, 4869 weight class) and Bilal Semyonov (ranked 317 p4p, 300 weight class). Bilal Semyonov has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nikita Rabov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bilal Semyonov!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Semyonov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rabov defends well and Semyonov ends up having to push Rabov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rabov misses with a right hand

and Semyonov counters with a takedown into side control.
Rabov prevents Semyonov from improving position.
Semyonov moves into full mount!

Semyonov moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rabov has worked his arm free - good work by Rabov!
Semyonov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rabov keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Semyonov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Rabov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Semyonov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rabov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Semyonov has managed to get both his arms back between Rabov's legs - danger averted.
Rabov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Semyonov is now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Semyonov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That was a close round but I would say that Nikita Rabov will probably get the nod.

It looked like Rabov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Rabov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rabov works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bilal Semyonov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nikita Rabov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nikita Rabov.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rabov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Nikita Rabov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
