Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Diego Lopes (ranked 2510 p4p, 5214 weight class) and Steven Maxwell (ranked 187 p4p, 330 weight class). Steven Maxwell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell lands with a shot to the body.
Maxwell misses with a double jab

and Lopes counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Maxwell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Maxwell breaks the clinch.
Maxwell connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A punch combination from Maxwell misses.
Maxwell lands with a thumping leg kick.
Maxwell stuns Lopes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lopes tries to clinch up.
Maxwell misses with a body kick.
Maxwell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Maxwell tries to keep at a distance but Lopes has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lopes jumps guard and drags Maxwell to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Lopes has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Maxwell should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lopes has tightened it up now! Maxwell should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
