Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kemp Dennis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws a body punch but Dennis moves out of range.

Dennis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peterson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dennis tries to pass to full mount but Peterson defends it.
Peterson is refusing to be controlled, as Dennis sits in half guard.
Peterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dennis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dennis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peterson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Peterson is trying to maintain the position but Dennis is very close to passing his half guard.

Dennis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Peterson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dennis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Peterson tries to roll over but Dennis keeps him under control.
Dennis not doing much here.
Peterson won't allow Dennis to pass to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dennis lands a nice short elbow.

Dennis thows a huge punch but Peterson dodges it nicely.
Peterson works his way to full guard. Good work.
Dennis throws a big elbow that misses.
Peterson wants to sweep but no luck.
Dennis stands and throws Peterson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Dennis cracks Peterson with a big elbow.
Dennis misses with the ground and pound.

Peterson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dennis connects with a decent elbow.
A lull in the action here.

Dennis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dennis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Peterson is rocked!

Dennis is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Peterson's shoulder. That is not cool.
Peterson is still in real trouble! Can Dennis finish him?
Peterson seems to have recovered his senses.
Dennis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Peterson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Peterson is trying to escape the position but Dennis is controlling the position.
Dennis is looking to take a break and control but Peterson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dennis in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dennis scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Peterson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Dennis can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kemp Dennis!
