The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Mini Terror has been cut.

Terror drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Terror controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ramirez controls Terror momentarily but Terror frees himself.
Terror is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ramirez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Terror seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Terror's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Terror manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ramirez on his heels. He'll look to pass Ramirez's guard now, I'm sure.
Ramirez wants to get back to his feet but Terror passes into half guard.

Ramirez wants to control but Terror is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ramirez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Terror wants to free his trapped foot but Ramirez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ramirez wants to improve his position but Terror is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Terror is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Terror tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ramirez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Terror takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ramirez won't allow Terror to pass to mount.

Terror is working for a submission of some sort.

Terror remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Terror is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ramirez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ramirez tries to buck Terror off but Terror is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Terror swings around for an armbar but Ramirez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Terror's guard.
Ramirez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Terror on the ground.
Ramirez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Terror is proving hard to escape from.

Terror is looking for a triangle but Ramirez pushes his legs off easily.
Terror looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Terror is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramirez defends well.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Terror in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ramirez tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Terror!
