Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jew Doh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morten Iversen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hurt - NIN. Iversen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eminem - Bully. Morten Iversen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jew Doh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Morten Iversen!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doh wants to clinch.
Doh tries to clinch there but Iversen circles away.
Doh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Doh.
Iversen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doh avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jew Doh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iversen throws the left hand but Doh avoids the punch easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Iversen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Iversen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Iversen lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A slow jab from Doh misses its intended target.
Iversen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Doh moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Doh counters with a shoot takedown. Iversen fights it but they end up in guard.
Doh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Iversen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Doh drops back looking for a leg! Iversen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Iversen manages to kick Doh off! Doh jumps back into Iversen's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doh is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Iversen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Iversen has escaped and now he's on top!

Doh has an active guard here but Iversen has managed to pass into half guard.

Doh is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Iversen pulls his head out easily.
Iversen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Doh is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Iversen pulls his head out easily.
Iversen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Doh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Doh lands a couple of sideways elbows.
Doh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Doh tries to roll over but Iversen keeps him under control.
Iversen is looking to take a break and control but Doh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Doh regains full guard. Nicely done.

Doh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Iversen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Iversen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Iversen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Doh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Iversen defends well.

Iversen is looking to regain half guard here but Doh keeps moving and retains side control.

Iversen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doh is working away from the top position though.
Iversen wants to improve his position but Doh is controlling well.

Iversen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Doh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Doh's back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Iversen's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Iversen doesn't have the hooks in and Doh manages to turn into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Doh drops back, looking for a kneebar! Iversen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Iversen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Iversen!

Iversen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Doh knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Doh tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Iversen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doh has escaped the position, nice work there.
Doh throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Iversen trying to control the action but Doh is working from the bottom.
Doh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Iversen off and has taken his back!
Doh somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Iversen just trying to survive but Doh is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Doh patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Iversen wants to escape the position.

Doh working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Doh scores with punches and elbows.
Iversen is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Doh off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Iversen breaks Doh's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jew Doh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Iversen wants to pass the guard but Doh is keeping the position.

Iversen looks to land a left hand but Doh moved out of range nicely.

and Iversen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Doh has a couple of punches blocked by Iversen.

Doh keeps control of Iversen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

and Iversen counters with a three punch combo that has Doh backing up. Doh nods at Iversen to acknowledge the strikes.

Doh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Iversen.
Doh closes the distance but Iversen moves to the side
and Iversen counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Good exchange - Iversen coming out on top.
Iversen throws a left and a right that both miss

and Doh counters by moving into the clinch.
Morten Iversen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jew Doh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Morten Iversen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Doh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
