PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between MewChoo Free (ranked 5904 p4p, 25324 weight class) and Theo Damus (ranked 536 p4p, 541 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Damus misses.
Damus fails in his attempt to clinch.
Damus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Free pivots, looking for a leg kick but Damus is out of range and Free settles back down.

Damus closes the distance and clinches.

Free breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Damus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Free.
Damus throws a counter combo.
Damus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Free paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A left lands for Free.
Free definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Free connects with an inside leg kick.
A combination from Damus does no damage.
Free tries to score with a low kick but Damus moves his leg out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Free throws a leg kick which misses Damus's front leg but catches the back leg as Damus tries to avoid it.
Free throws a nice outside leg kick.
Damus sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Free throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Damus takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
MewChoo Free seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Damus takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Free scores with a nice head shot.
Damus blocks a jab.
Free checks the leg kick.
A head kick misses from Damus.
Damus throws a right and a left that Free avoids nicely.
Free tests Damus's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Damus misses with a two punch combination.
Free bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Free ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Damus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Damus takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Free uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Damus.

Free throws a combination. Damus tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Damus is rocked!
Damus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fighters circle momentarily. Free darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Free lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A slapping body kick lands there for Free.
Free scores with a nice body kick.
Free jabs Damus to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Free takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Free is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
An inside leg kick lands from Free.
Free throws a nice inside leg kick.
Free lands with a nice body kick.
Damus seems to have recovered his senses.
MewChoo Free is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Free bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Damus's head.

Free getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Damus walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
