Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nik gets tackled into the cage by Warrior. Warrior maintains the clinch.

Warrior pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Warrior jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Warrior has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Warrior blocks a jab.

and Nik counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nik feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nik lands a big shot there that rocks Warrior but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Nik closes the distance and clinches up with Warrior, looking for a takedown. Nik pushes Warrior against the cage but Warrior circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Warrior wants to clinch up but Nik keeps it at a distance.
Warrior lands with a kick to the temple. Nik shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Nik throws a jab but it's blocked by Warrior.

Nik lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Warrior.
Nik can't find room to land a body shot as Warrior controls the action.
Warrior swings wildly with an uppercut but Nik uses good head movement to avoid it.

Warrior is breathing heavily.

Nik lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Warrior tries to break free but Nik pushes him back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Warrior tries to clinch up but Nik pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Warrior to the mat! Warrior covers up and Nik unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
