Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryoto Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Thomas!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida with a nice cross.
Machida looks for a takedown but Thomas sprawls well.
Machida works Thomas's body with a nice hook.
Thomas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Machida counters by moving into the clinch.
Thomas fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Machida pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Thomas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Thomas closes the distance and clinches up with Machida, looking for a takedown. Thomas pushes Machida against the cage but Machida circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown. Machida fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown. Machida fights it but they end up in guard.

Danny Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
A nice combination there by Machida.

Machida tries to clinch up but Thomas circles away and keeps his distance.
Machida goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Machida throws a series of punches but Thomas avoids them all with ease.
Machida takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Thomas shoots for a double leg takedown but Machida sprawls well. He's pushed Thomas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thomas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Thomas checks a leg kick.
