Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 23 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gurizuri Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura looks to throw the jab but Spencer is out of range.
Spencer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nakamura.
No joy there for Nakamura, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nakamura shoots for a takedown but Spencer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nakamura checks a low kick from Spencer.
Nakamura lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Spencer at a distance.
Nakamura lands an overhand right.
Spencer lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Gurizuri Nakamura has been cut.
Nakamura misses the shot to the body.
Spencer throwing a counter right hand but Nakamura manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakamura throws a body punch but Spencer moves out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nakamura has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Nakamura fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spencer manages to avoid it.
Spencer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Spencer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Spencer loads up on a big right hand but Nakamura slips the punch.
Nakamura drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Spencer defends it well.
Nakamura is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Spencer rather than just go for the knockout.

Nakamura is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Spencer.
Spencer seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nakamura wants to clinch up but Spencer keeps it at a distance.
It looked like Spencer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Nakamura.

Spencer cracks Nakamura with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Spencer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Nakamura to stand back up!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Spencer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Spencer loads up on a big right hand but Nakamura slips the punch.
Nakamura seems to have recovered his senses.

Spencer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nakamura was well out of range. Poor timing from Spencer.
It looks like Spencer has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Spencer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Nakamura wants to clinch but Spencer slips to the side
and Spencer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
An inside leg kick lands from Spencer.
Spencer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nakamura.

and Spencer counters with a good low kick that Nakamura was not able to check.

Nakamura tests Spencer's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Spencer cracks Nakamura with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Spencer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Nakamura to stand back up!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A punch lands to the side of Spencer 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Spencer is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Spencer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Nakamura! Spencer lets Nakamura back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
