PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kanoh Agito (ranked 4445 p4p, 5321 weight class) and James Johnson Jr (ranked 198 p4p, 288 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Johnson Jr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Agito, pushing him back against the cage.

Johnson Jr wants the takedown. Agito is fighting it off but Johnson Jr persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Agito's guard against the cage.
Johnson Jr wants to get up but he can't break Agito's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Agito is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Agito bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson Jr's guard.

Johnson Jr wants to stand up but Agito is controlling him.
Agito is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson Jr has wrist control.

That was a close round but I would say that Kanoh Agito will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Johnson Jr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Agito's guard.
Agito wants to sweep here but Johnson Jr controlling him for the moment.

Agito looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
