This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 0 losses; Lysander Birdwhistle! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 4 losses; Jack Brittle!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Brittle instigates a clinch.
Birdwhistle definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Birdwhistle tries for a takedown. No joy.
Birdwhistle is working for takedown but Brittle is calmly controlling the position for now.
Birdwhistle is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Brittle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lysander Birdwhistle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brittle tries to pull guard but Birdwhistle holds him up against the ropes and eventually Brittle drops back down to his feet.

Birdwhistle drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Birdwhistle seems to have locked his on tight now - Brittle screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Birdwhistle, as he picks up the win!
