And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Patrick Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Gean shoots for a double leg takedown but Murphy sprawls well. He's pushed Gean's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Murphy tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Gean manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Murphy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gean uses from the top position.

We've been hearing good reports from Gean's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gean has the hooks in. Murphy is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Gean passes his arm under Murphy's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Murphy taps!
