Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean O Neil (ranked 2989 p4p, 4150 weight class) and Carter Sinclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter Sinclair will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

O Neil decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
O Neil seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sinclair does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sinclair really doesn't want to stay on the ground with O Neil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

O Neil wants to work for an arm triangle but Sinclair is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Sinclair has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. O Neil is working away from the top position though.
Sinclair is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sinclair wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
O Neil perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
O Neil wants to take a breather but Sinclair is having none of it.
