Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Shinsei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Somebodies Going Get Hit- 3 6 Mafia. DJ Sanchez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Shinsei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, DJ Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Shinsei shows good takedown defense.
Shinsei with a poor takedown

and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Shinsei makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shinsei.

Sanchez is looking to advance position but Shinsei has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Sanchez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shinsei lands a big elbow.

Shinsei stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sanchez seems to be working for a kimura but Shinsei defends the submission attempt.
Shinsei is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shinsei, who protects the arm well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Shinsei feints and as Sanchez raises his hands in defense, Shinsei changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Shinsei fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sanchez throws out a loose jab but Shinsei uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sanchez has closed the distance and engaged Shinsei in a clinch.

Sanchez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shinsei sprawls well initially but Sanchez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sanchez moves into full mount! Shinsei won't be happy about that!

Sanchez fails to advance to Shinsei's back.
Shinsei wants to control but Sanchez is having none of it.
Sanchez is trying to control here but Shinsei has managed to regain half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Sanchez stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Shinsei throws a lazy head kick

and Sanchez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shinsei!

Sanchez has hold of Shinsei's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shinsei manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Shinsei wants to control but Sanchez is having none of it.
Shinsei is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanchez wants to control the pace but Shinsei is squirming around nicely.

Sanchez is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Shinsei has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Shinsei!

Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shinsei is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sanchez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shinsei's back instead.

Shinsei controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Shinsei looking very determined here, making life difficult for Sanchez.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shinsei is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Sanchez has picked Shinsei up - he's going for a ride! Sanchez dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura but Shinsei is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanchez to get the leverage.
Shinsei pushes Sanchez off looking to stand but Sanchez dives back in and keeps control.
Shinsei manages to get to full guard.

Sanchez stands and throws Shinsei's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Sanchez wants to control from the top but Shinsei keeps moving.

Sanchez is looking to work some ground and pound but Shinsei has wrist control.
Shinsei bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard.
Sanchez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Sanchez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shinsei is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sanchez.

Shinsei has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
