These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Geri lands with a nice body kick.
Geri throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Jacques Pierre has been cut.

and Geri counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pierre slaps away a takedown attempt from Geri, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Geri dives in for a single leg takedown but Pierre sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Pierre looks to land a left hand but Geri moved out of range nicely.
