The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shakaromanov lands a lovely overhand right.
Shakaromanov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Shakaromanov's coach down at New York Public Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shakaromanov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
McGuire scores with a punch to the head.
McGuire bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
McGuire throws a poor cross that misses
and Shakaromanov counters with a straight right hand.
No joy there for Shakaromanov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shakaromanov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

McGuire takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
A low kick from McGuire is predictable there
and Shakaromanov makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shakaromanov fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McGuire checks it well.

McGuire closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

McGuire displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shakaromanov throws out the jab.
Oh McGuire is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lathem McGuire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shakaromanov connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends McGuire to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Shakaromanov!
