The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mills swivels and escapes.
Mills tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kidd shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mills manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mills is trying to keep Kidd in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kidd drops back looking for a leg! Mills is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mills manages to kick Kidd off! Kidd jumps back into Mills's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mills can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mills tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kidd is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kidd won't allow Mills to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kidd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kidd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mills really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kidd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kidd drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kidd seems to have locked his on tight now - Mills screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kidd, as he picks up the win!
