The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Combs forces Hampton back against the cage and clinches.

Combs goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Combs lands with a light punch inside.
Hampton scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Hampton tries to work over Combs's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Combs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hampton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Combs momentarily.
Hampton throws a hook but Combs blocks it.
Combs listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Hampton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Combs stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Combs gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hampton.

Combs pushes Hampton up against the cage in a clinch.

Hampton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Combs takes the fight into the clinch.
Combs scores with a shot to the side of Hampton's head.

Hampton is trying to break the clinch but Combs is controlling him.
I was talking to Combs's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Hampton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Combs lands with an overhand left.
Hampton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Combs.
Hampton looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A big left from Hampton misses.
Hampton throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Combs is looking to counter the offense by Hampton and move into the clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Combs drops Hampton with a straight right hand, right on the button! Combs follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
