The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing tries to clinch but Gilmore moves out of range.
Ewing throws a body shot but no joy.
Ewing uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gilmore.
Ewing was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Ewing avoids the body shot from Gilmore.
Gilmore throws the left hand but Ewing avoids the punch easily.
Gilmore takes a swing at Ewing's ribcage but misses.
It looked like Ewing was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gilmore.

Gilmore looks to score with a jab to the body but Ewing is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A nice side step and Gilmore releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Gilmore is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ewing rather than just go for the knockout.
Ewing comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ewing swings for the body but Gilmore moves out of range.
Gilmore shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Gilmore gets to his feet and stands over Ewing, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Ewing felt that one! Gilmore unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Ewing from any more punishment!
