Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cathal Doherty (ranked 732 p4p, 1934 weight class) and Ezekiel Broomsdale (ranked 83 p4p, 210 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Doherty might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jeremy- Pearl Jam. Broomsdale comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Masta kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doherty throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Doherty looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A decent looking cross lands there for Broomsdale.
Broomsdale lands a high kick!
Doherty scores with a body shot.

Broomsdale has taken the fight to the clinch.
Broomsdale lands a damaging elbow.

Doherty pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice straight punches there by Doherty. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Doherty.

It looks like Ezekiel Broomsdale has been cut.
Broomsdale ducks right into an uppercut from Doherty.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Broomsdale is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Doherty.
Doherty takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Broomsdale swings for the body but Doherty moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Broomsdale.

Broomsdale is rocked!
Doherty flashes Broomsdale a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Broomsdale's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Broomsdale crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Doherty punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

A pretty intense looking Cathal Doherty took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
Ezekiel Broomsdale was interviewed post fight and said 'It's just gut wrenching man, I let everyone down. I'll be back better than ever soon enough though. '.
