Kitano comes into a darkened arena with his song building. TMGE - Drop kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Naoki Kitano has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kyle Bush's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naoki Kitano!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush misses with a combination
and Kitano counters with a right hand to the body.
Bush doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kitano counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bush defending well as Kitano loads up on a big left hand.
Kitano connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bush's hands.
Bush misses with a takedown
and Kitano counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kitano connects with a body shot that sends Bush's belly button to the back.
Bush needs to keep his hands up - Kitano had a free shot at his head there.

Kitano has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Bush throws a combination that misses
and Kitano counters with a right hand to the body.

and Kitano counters with a stiff right hand.
Kyle Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kitano comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bush tries to clinch up.
Kitano looks to score with a jab to the body but Bush is just out of range.

Kitano lands a left and a right that send Bush crashing to the mat, dazed. Kitano thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bush is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bush throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kitano tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bush is in Kitano's guard.
Oh Bush is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bush works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bush prevents Kitano from standing back up.
Bush seems to have got his legs back now.
Bush wants to free his trapped foot but Kitano is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Bush is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kitano doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bush.

Bush lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bush controlling the action here.
Bush seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kitano for as long as he can get away with.
Bush has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Kitano looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bush has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Kitano is in trouble now - Bush has advanced to mount!
Bush won't let Kitano get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Kitano is trying to stand but he's just given Bush his back.
Bush lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Bush is persistently looking for the submission but Kitano is defending it well.
Kitano is trying to stand back up.

Kitano is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kitano trying to get back to his feet but Bush is in full control for now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Naoki Kitano dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bush doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kitano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kitano connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kitano with a jab.
Bush tries to close the distance and clinch but Kitano swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kitano lands with an uppercut that bounces Bush off the cage and back into range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bush misses with a kick to the body
and Kitano counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kitano loads up on a big right hand but Bush slips the punch.
Nice sprawl there from Kitano as Bush shoots in.
A countering left hand to the body from Kitano misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Bush. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Kitano counters with a crisp right that sends Bush to the canvas! Kitano follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

An out of breath Naoki Kitano thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
