Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23226 p4p, 23145 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 105 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 98 - 25 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter A dives in for a single leg takedown but Fighter B sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Fighter B thinks about the counter body kick.
Fighter A misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Fighter A is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Fighter A is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fighter B prevents a takedown attempt there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A gets underhooks to prevent Fighter B's takedown attempt.

Fighter A drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fighter B gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fighter B is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fighter A pulls him back up using the underhooks.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fighter A is trying to drag Fighter B to the mat but Fighter B just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fighter A wants the takedown. Fighter B is fighting it off but Fighter A persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fighter B's guard against the cage.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter B holds on and takes a little breather.
Fighter A with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fighter B pulls Fighter A in to control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fighter A postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fighter B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fighter B keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fighter A moves out of range as Fighter B throws a body kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fighter A looking to score a takedown here. Fighter B is defending well but Fighter A drives through and ends up in Fighter B's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Fighter A shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fighter B is looking for a sweep. Fighter A is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fighter A thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A with the ground and pound but Fighter B uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Fighter B preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Fighter B managing to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fighter B is continuing to stall.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Fighter A loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fighter A lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fighter A is looking to work some ground and pound but Fighter B has wrist control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fighter B is on top in guard.

Fighter A has control of Fighter B's left arm, preventing Fighter B from doing any damage.
Fighter B throws an elbow that misses. Fighter A uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fighter B's guard. Nice move by Fighter A!

Fighter A throws a big right hand that misses.
Fighter A throwing strikes from guard but Fighter B blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fighter A throws a big elbow that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fighter A shoots and misses
and Fighter B counters with a left to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fighter A is defended easily by Fighter B.
Fighter B unleashes a big counter combination but Fighter A bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter A tries to land a body kick
and Fighter B counters with a nice body kick.
Fighter A tries a head kick but it misses.
Fighter B replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Fighter A blocks it well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Fighter A shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter B manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter A's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fighter B throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter A's waist but Fighter A gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter B off to one side.

Fighter A's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Fighter A throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fighter B.
Fighter B shoots in for a takedown but Fighter A shows good takedown defense.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.

Fighter A shoots in and gets a takedown into Fighter B's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A with a nice head shot there.
Fighter B wants to sweep but no luck.
Fighter A lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fighter B working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fighter A.
Fighter A being controlled here momentarily.
Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fighter B manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fighter A manages to get himself to full guard.


And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fighter A, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
