Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Triston Santos (ranked 2914 p4p, 4126 weight class) and Siberian Tigris (ranked 320 p4p, 407 weight class). Tigris has chosen Eye Of The Tiger as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Triston Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Siberian Tigris!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Santos misses.
Tigris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Santos swinging wildly here.
Santos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tigris circles away quickly and effectively.
Santos seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Tigris darts in looking for a takedown but Santos gets double underhooks and turns Tigris into the cage.
An attempted straight right counter from Santos misses the target.
Santos throws out a powerful jab.
A left lands for Santos.
Santos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tigris.
Tigris shoots for a double leg takedown but Santos sprawls well. He's pushed Tigris's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tigris wants to clinch up but Santos keeps it at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Santos duly obliges.

Santos scores with a hook to the body. Tigris takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Santos connects with a single shot there.
Santos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Santos was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Triston Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tigris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Santos pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tigris back to the cage. Santos follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Tigris needs to keep his hands up - Santos had a free shot at his head there.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tigris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Santos feints a jab promting Tigris to slip. Santos then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tigris slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sloppy strikes from Santos. Those never looked like landing.
Santos catches Tigris with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Santos motions for Tigris to come forward. Santos throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tigris checks the leg kick nicely there.
Tigris misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Santos.
Tigris connects with a body shot that sends Santos's belly button to the back.
Good exchange - Santos coming out on top.
Tigris walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tigris lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Santos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Santos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Santos scores with the left hand. Tigris knows he should have avoided that one.
Santos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tigris looks to land a combination but Santos avoids it well.
Santos blocks the body kick.
Tigris walks into a straight right hand from Santos.
Santos misses with a two punch combination.
Tigris moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tigris checks a low kick from Santos.
Santos lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A bone on bone clash there as Tigris blocks the leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Santos darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tigris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A jab from Santos does it's job there.
Nice sprawl there from Santos as Tigris shoots in.
Tigris looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Tigris might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Santos has got the better of the exchanges.

Santos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tigris, pushing him back against the cage.

Tigris has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Tigris takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Santos swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tigris.
Santos connects with a single shot there.
Santos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tigris can do to turn this around?
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tigris paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tigris flicks out a counter leg kick but Santos steps away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tigris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Santos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tigris somewhat.

and Santos counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Santos.
Triston Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Siberian Tigris.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Tigris is trying desperately to land a takedown but Santos is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tigris.

Santos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Santos's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tigris under the eye.

and Tigris counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Santos pulls Tigris in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tigris manages to pass to side control.
Santos wants to get back to full guard.
Tigris not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tigris is keen to just control but Santos is a slippery customer.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Well, if Tigris is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Triston Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Santos lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Nice straight punches there by Santos. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Santos.
Tigris throws a combination that misses
and Santos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tigris throws a jab when Santos was well out of range.
Santos takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Tigris has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Tigris shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tigris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tigris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Santos lands a hook that snaps the head of Tigris backwards.
Santos is trying to break the clinch but Tigris is controlling him.
Tigris jumps guard but Santos stands there with Tigris around his waist. Tigris gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Tigris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tigris is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Santos to keep the fight standing.

A nice right hand lands inside from Santos.
Santos using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tigris has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Santos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
