Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Lake (ranked 2674 p4p, 2775 weight class) and Dino Ebedi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lake comes to the cage accompanied by Panic Attack. Ebedi has chosen Moby Dick - Ugass kutya! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Lake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Dino Ebedi!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lake feints and as Ebedi raises his hands in defense, Lake changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ebedi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ebedi controlling Lake's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lake loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lake throws a strike but Ebedi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ebedi controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Ebedi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lake is looking to stand up but Ebedi isn't so interested in that idea.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lake tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ebedi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ebedi throws a sloppy head kick and Lake moves out of range easily.
Cole Lake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Ebedi.
Lake looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lake swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ebedi counters with a left and a right that stings Lake.
Lake throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ebedi throws a fast counter high kick but Lake manages to duck under it in time.

Ebedi punishes Lake's body with a nice straight punch.
Ebedi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lake has time to react.
Ebedi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Lake closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lake is looking to stall here but Ebedi recovers full guard.

Ebedi is pushing down on Lake's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lake is fighting to maintain full guard but Ebedi has managed to sneak the leg through.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ebedi prevents Lake from standing back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lake ducks right into an uppercut from Ebedi.

Lake shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ebedi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lake postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ebedi pulls Lake in close to his closed guard and prevents Lake from doing any damage or advancing position.

Ebedi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Lake pushes Ebedi away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ebedi gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Ebedi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lake wanted to stand there but Ebedi had control of the position.

Ebedi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lake scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Ebedi manages to mount him!

Dino Ebedi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Lake moves in looking to clinch but Ebedi pushes him off.
Cole Lake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lake decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lake slips a nice elbow through Ebedi's hands, connecting with Ebedi's forehead.

Lake shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ebedi swats away the attempt to clinch by Lake.
