The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez defending well as Rider loads up on a big left hand.
Ramirez clobbers Rider with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rider moves forwards but Ramirez connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Rider gets a takedown into half guard.
Rider working the head and body with strikes.
Ramirez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rider is working away from the top position though.
Rider has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
