And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado misses with a looping right.

Mathis closes the distance and pushes Machado back into the cage.
Machado prevents Mathis from breaking the clinch.
Machado definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mathis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Machado throws a punch but it's blocked by Mathis.

Mathis tightens his grip and picks Machado up, before dumping him to the ground. Machado manages to land in guard.

Mathis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Machado is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mathis rolls with it to try and escape but Machado cranks on the arm and Mathis is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Alvro Machado was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
