The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
maxwell fails with a takedown attempt.
maxwell misses with a hook.

Hetcher has maxwell up against the cage in a clinch.

Hetcher lands a takedown into guard.

maxwell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hetcher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

maxwell is working an open guard so Hetcher takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hetcher stuffs the takedown attempt from maxwell. maxwell gets slowly back to his feet.
maxwell lands an overhand right.
maxwell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hetcher lands with an uppercut that bounces maxwell off the cage and back into rage.

aaron maxwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hetcher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. maxwell sprawls well initially but Hetcher persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hetcher tries to pass to full mount but maxwell defends it.
Hetcher works his foot free and advances to mount.

Hetcher looking to control and managing it successfully.
maxwell looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Hetcher slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

I looks like Hetcher might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
maxwell wants to escape the position.

maxwell is trying to defend against the choke here but Hetcher has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Hetcher Tightens the hold and maxwell taps out furiously! Hetcher displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
