PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Caden Lee (ranked 3800 p4p, 4190 weight class) and Zack Cracy (ranked 252 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by Purge announcement. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Caden Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zack Cracy!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee tries to keep at a distance but Cracy has taken the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Cracy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cracy utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Cracy is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lee is keeping busy.
Lee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cracy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Our sources have told us that Lee has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Cracy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lee.
Lee wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caden Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cracy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Cracy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lee looks for a takedown but Cracy sprawls well.

Cracy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lee. That did some damage!
Cracy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cracy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lee has him pressed against the cage.

Cracy breaks from the clinch.
Cracy misses with a few strikes there.
Cracy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lee appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Cracy throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Crunch! Cracy slams his shin into Lee's torso.
Lee fails with the takedown.
Cracy wants to clinch up but Lee keeps it at a distance.

Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cracy bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A nice leg kick from Cracy, right into the meat of the thigh.

Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cracy's guard.

Lee drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cracy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lee has Cracy in his guard.

Lee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position.

Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cracy is aware though and is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee has his foot on Cracy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cracy works his way back into a safe position though.

Lee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cracy defends it easily.
Cracy wants to get up but he can't break Lee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lee is looking for a triangle but Cracy pushes his legs off easily.
Cracy wants to stand but Lee has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Lee working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Cracy has passed into half guard!

Lee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cracy pulls his head out easily.

Cracy postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lee to stand up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Zack Cracy dominated that round.
That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lee gets a takedown into half guard.

Lee is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cracy defends it well.

Cracy manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Zack Cracy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cracy lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lee will feel that in the morning.
Cracy throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Cracy throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Cracy moves into the clinch successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee tries for a takedown. No joy.
Lee is trying to drag Cracy to the mat but Cracy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Cracy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lee wants the takedown. Cracy is fighting it off but Lee persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cracy's guard against the cage.

Lee throws an elbow that misses. Cracy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lee's guard. Nice move by Cracy!

Lee throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cracy escapes and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee is looking for a sweep.
Cracy takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Lee to pass into mount.
Cracy looking to control but Lee is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Cracy has hold of Lee's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lee manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Lee flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Lee regains half guard.
Lee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cracy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cracy's back!
Cracy is breathing heavily.

Lee working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Cracy is doing well to defend. Lee seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Cracy is forced to tap and this one is over!
