Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mounir Ayari (ranked 243 p4p, 340 weight class) and Joe Diddy (ranked 35 p4p, 52 weight class). Ayari comes to the cage accompanied by Samira Said - Yallah Rouh. Diddy has chosen lvl99ROIDMAGE as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joe Diddy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Mounir Ayari!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Diddy!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayari throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Ayari on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Ayari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diddy moves away.
Diddy misses with a wild body shot.
Ayari throws a head kick that misses.
Ayari stuns Diddy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Joe Diddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diddy throws a body punch but Ayari moves out of range.
Ayari swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ayari. Diddy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Diddy tries to close the distance and clinch but Ayari swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ayari definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Diddy checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ayari walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ayari scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ayari throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diddy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Diddy connects with a jab.
Diddy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ayari just misses with a punch to the body.
Diddy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Diddy misses with a looping right.
Mounir Ayari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ayari jabs at Diddy's body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diddy.
Ayari is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Diddy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ayari quickly recovers to half guard.
Ayari is trying to control but can't.
Ayari tries to roll over but Diddy keeps him under control.
Ayari trying to hold on to Diddy's head to control him but Diddy postures up.
Diddy is pressing down on Ayari's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ayari is holding on for now.
Ayari is looking to improve his position.
Ayari wants to control but Diddy is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ayari is concentrating on defense, preventing Diddy from advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diddy is looking for a kimura here.
Ayari tries to roll over but Diddy keeps him under control.

Diddy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ayari defends it well.
Diddy is pressing down on Ayari's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ayari is holding on for now.

Ayari is looking for a sweep. Diddy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ayari is in trouble now - Diddy has advanced to mount!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diddy moves to the back position.

Diddy is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Diddy lands with a hammerfist to the side of Ayari's head.
Diddy doesn't have the hooks in and Ayari manages to turn into his guard.
Ayari wants to control from the top but Diddy keeps moving.
We've been informed that Diddy has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Ayari will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ayari is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Diddy is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ayari has his hands clasped together but Diddy extends and breaks Ayari's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Diddy.

Our winner, Joe Diddy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Mounir Ayari stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thank you to my opponent and all the fans, my coaches and sponsors.'.
