Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Price!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price scores with a jab. Smith acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Price tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Price.

Smith looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Price has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Price's legs - danger averted.
Price controls Smith momentarily but Smith frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Price is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Price working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Smith is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Price has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Smith is looking to defend but Price has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Smith! Price pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Smith taps out and this one is all over!

A very excited looking Pete Price made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Mike Smith was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm sorry for this performance. I've not represented the U S of A as I should. I'll be back.'.
