PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donovan Griggs (ranked 1992 p4p, 2998 weight class) and Holy Moly (ranked 135 p4p, 195 weight class). Griggs comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Be Touched- Roy Jones Jr.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griggs is looking to clinch.
Griggs tries to clinch but Moly is having none of it.
Moly was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Moly circles away from the clinch attempt.
Moly is looking for the big counter here.

Moly tries a quick counter leg kick but Griggs is wise to it.

Griggs gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moly lands a good knee to the midsection. Griggs won't want to take too many of those.
Moly using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Griggs has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Moly tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Moly decides to pull guard.

Griggs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griggs has managed to get both his arms back between Moly's legs - danger averted.

Griggs wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Moly's closed guard. He's half up but Moly has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Moly pivots and extends the arm, Griggs falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Moly! Well done that man!
