Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jeffson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mui Tha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Jeffson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mui Tha!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tha.
Jeffson misses with a looping left.
Jeffson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jeffson closes the distance and clinches up with Tha, looking for a takedown. Jeffson pushes Tha against the cage but Tha circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tha.
Tha scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Tha is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Tha seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jeffson is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tha takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tha looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Still in half guard, Tha seems content to control.
Tha has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tha misses with a head shot. Jeffson uses the momentum to regain guard.
Tha stops Jeffson from standing up.
Jeffson is breathing heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jeffson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jeffson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tha trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tha is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tha passes Jeffson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Tha controlling the action here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tha working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Tha is taking a breather. Jeffson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tha is working for a submission of some sort.

Jeffson is looking to control Tha's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jeffson avoid being mounted?
Tha stalling.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Despite being in the dominant position, Mui Tha just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jeffson tries to clinch but Tha is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mui Tha dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tha fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jeffson sprawls well initially but Tha persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tha wants to take a breather but Jeffson is having none of it.
Tha looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jeffson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tha seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tha is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jeffson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tha.
Tha is breathing heavily.

Tha trying to control from half guard but Jeffson is working away.
Jeffson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Tha is trying to control. Jeffson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Tha prevents Jeffson from standing back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jeffson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tha shoots in and bounces Jeffson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tha stands up from Jeffson's guard - Tha perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jeffson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tha - the referee stops the clock and Jeffson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tha. Jeffson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Tha moves out of range of the strikes.
Tha pushes Jeffson up against the cage in a clinch.
Jeffson wants to break free but Tha has control.
Tha scores a nice knee to the body.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Jeffson takes a shot to the head.
Jeffson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jeffson wants a takedown but no success here.
Jeffson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tha.
Tha has Jeffson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tha pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jeffson tumbling to the mat - Tha dives into Jeffson's guard.

Jeffson wants to stand up but Tha is controlling him.
Tha wants to control from the top but Jeffson keeps moving.
Tha tries to free his leg and advance position but Jeffson is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mui Tha showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Tha tries to clinch but Jeffson moves out of range.
Jeffson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jack Jeffson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jeffson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jeffson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tha avoids the head kick by Jeffson.
Tha scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Tha misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jeffson stuffs the takedown.

Tha closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jeffson circles away.
Jack Jeffson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mui Tha.
Tha tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jeffson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jeffson misses with a kick to the body
and Tha makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tha drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Jeffson throws a head kick that misses
and Tha counters with a shoot takedown. Jeffson fights it but they end up in guard.
Jeffson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tha stacks Jeffson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tha!

Jeffson tries to buck Tha off but Tha is having none of it.

Mui Tha has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tha is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Jeffson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Jeffson for a finish.

Mui Tha is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tha is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Mui Tha comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tha has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
