Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gedeon Tarasov (ranked 3990 p4p, 25045 weight class) and Knockie Outie (ranked 0 p4p, 505 weight class). Knockie Outie will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Knockie Outie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Outie has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tarasov wants the takedown. Outie is fighting it off but Tarasov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Outie's guard against the cage.
Outie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tarasov is one step ahead there.
Tarasov is working Outie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Outie controls Tarasov momentarily but Tarasov frees himself.

Tarasov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Outie dives on top into guard.

Tarasov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Outie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tarasov, up you get!

Tarasov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Outie sprawls well initially but Tarasov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Outie manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Outie drives through and clinches with Tarasov against the cage.
Tarasov unloads a knee to the mid-section. Outie lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
A head punch on the inside from Tarasov fails to land.
Outie tries to pull guard but Tarasov holds him up against the cage and eventually Outie drops back down to his feet.
Outie goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tarasov prevents it.
Outie looks winded!

Tarasov has clasped his hands together around Outie's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tarasov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Tarasov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Outie clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Tarasov is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Outie with him. Outie is trying to defend but Tarasov has an arm under the chin now! Outie grimaces and is forced to tap out!
