Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between RJ Britten (ranked 4587 p4p, 4241 weight class) and Ramon Dekkers (ranked 272 p4p, 257 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, RJ Britten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ramon Dekkers!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dekkers rushes Britten and presses him up against the cage.
Britten tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dekkers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dekkers lands with a slapping head kick.
Dekkers misses with a combination

and Britten counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dekkers manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dekkers breaks the clinch.
Britten tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dekkers swivels and escapes.
Dekkers tries a head kick but it misses.

Dekkers lands a big head kick that sends Britten tumbling to the mat! Dekkers takes a step backwards and waves Britten back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Britten is rocked!
Dekkers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Britten.
Oh Britten is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Britten takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dekkers throws a right hand that Britten ducks under and follows up with a left that Britten also avoids with ease.
Dekkers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Britten shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dekkers but Dekkers pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for RJ Britten. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Britten jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dekkers walks away with a smile on his face. Britten gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Britten will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Britten accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dekkers enables Britten to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dekkers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Dekkers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
