Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julius Lew (ranked 18 p4p, 36 weight class) and Shinnosuke Nakagawa (ranked 2 p4p, 6 weight class). Nakagawa has chosen Koto - CloZee as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Nakagawa counters with a shoot takedown. Lew fights it but they end up in guard.
Nakagawa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lew swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nakagawa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lew has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Lew lands a nice shot that snaps Nakagawa's head back.
Lew throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nakagawa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lew is fending him off so far but Nakagawa persists. Nope, Lew circles away and we're back to standing.

Nakagawa tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nakagawa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lew walks away with a smile on his face. Nakagawa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
