Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Desmond Joseph! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robert Marcinkiewicz! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joseph closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Joseph wants to free his trapped foot but Marcinkiewicz is holding on for dear life with his legs. Joseph not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Marcinkiewicz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Joseph thows a huge punch but Marcinkiewicz dodges it nicely.
Joseph slips a nice elbow through Marcinkiewicz's hands, connecting with Marcinkiewicz's forehead. Joseph missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Marcinkiewicz taking some punishment here, with Joseph in his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joseph lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Joseph has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Joseph thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marcinkiewicz's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joseph controlling the action here. Joseph wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marcinkiewicz keeps working. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Joseph lands a nice short elbow. Joseph landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Marcinkiewicz has hold of Joseph's hands but Joseph slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Joseph working the head and body with strikes. Joseph seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Marcinkiewicz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Joseph lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Joseph is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Marcinkiewicz looks winded! Joseph wants to take a breather but Marcinkiewicz is having none of it. Joseph works his foot free and advances to mount. BOOM! Joseph connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Marcinkiewicz is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
