Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bernardo Cabral (ranked 513 p4p, 1475 weight class) and Daroshev Faroshev (ranked 70 p4p, 208 weight class). Daroshev Faroshev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo Cabral!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daroshev Faroshev!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faroshev thows a left - swing and a miss!
Cabral half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Cabral fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Faroshev looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Cabral is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Faroshev throws out a counter right but Cabral avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cabral shoots in but Faroshev avoids the takedown attempt easily.
It seemed like Faroshev was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bernardo Cabral. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cabral shoots for a takedown but Faroshev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cabral fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Faroshev avoids it really well and circles away.
Faroshev looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Cabral changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Faroshev tries to avoid it but Cabral manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Faroshev to the ground. Faroshev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cabral shoots in for a takedown but Faroshev shows good takedown defense.
Faroshev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Faroshev throws an overhand right that lands on Cabral's shoulder, as Cabral tries to avoid the shot.
Faroshev catches Cabral with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Bernardo Cabral has been cut.

and Faroshev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cabral shoots in looking for a takedown. Faroshev tries to sprawl out of it but Cabral keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Faroshev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cabral fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Faroshev! But no joy.
Cabral shoots in looking for a takedown but Faroshev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cabral's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cabral will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Faroshev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

and Faroshev counters with a nice right hand that sends Cabral toppling to the canvas! Cabral scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Faroshev finish him?!

Cabral is rocked!
Cabral is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Daroshev Faroshev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A telegraphed right hand from Faroshev misses the target.
Faroshev looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cabral or perhaps it was just good defense by Faroshev, which made it look bad.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Faroshev cracks Cabral with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cabral tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Faroshev pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cabral is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daroshev Faroshev!
